How the calculation works
Overtime rate = base rate × multiplier. Overtime pay = overtime rate × overtime hours. Total pay adds your first 40 regular hours. At $25 an hour with 8 overtime hours at 1.5×, the overtime rate is $37.50, overtime pay is $300 and total weekly pay is $1,300. Results are gross, before tax.
